Nipissing First Nation is pleased to support the Nipissing Serenity Hospice and its goal to provide quality end of life care in a holistic manner that embraces all without discrimination. We strongly believe that this establishment will serve a critical need in our region by caring for our loved ones before their final journey to the spirit world, while also supporting the families and loved ones who surround them.

Miigwech (thank you) for your vision and determination in advancing this project, for previously including one of our senior staff members (Rosella Kinoshameg, R.N., B.Sc.N., Hon. D.) on your Board of Directors, and continuing to hold a seat filled by a member of our Indigenous community. We are grateful that the Nipissing Serenity Hospice design includes a “Sacred Room” that reflects the needs of our Indigenous community as recommended by Rosella. Further, we are confident that the hospice will provide a comfortable and tranquil space for the terminally ill of all ages, cultures and languages to find peace in their final days.
