Nestled on just over two acres in the heart of North Bay, overlooking the gentle flow of Chippewa Creek, Serenity Gardens at Nipissing Serenity Hospice offer a peaceful and natural sanctuary for individuals at end-of-life, their families, and the wider community. Thoughtfully designed to complement the compassionate care within the hospice, these gardens feature accessible pathways, quiet seating areas, and spaces for reflection and connection. Residents and visitors alike can find comfort in the beauty of nature, while meaningful opportunities to honour or memorialize loved ones foster a sense of continuity and peace. Serenity Gardens embody the hospice’s commitment to dignity, comfort, and holistic care in every season of life.

Engraved Metal Leaf
$1,000
Engrave your loved one’s name (up to 25 characters long) and a date range on a black powder-coated leaf (approx. size: 6” x 3”). This will be mounted onto our memorial pergola.

12 x 12 Engraved Patio Stone
$1,250
Engrave a 3-4 line message (with up to 20 characters each, including spaces and punctuation) on a 12" x 12" patio stone. The stone also features our NSH Bird logo. This will be placed into our patio areas and bordering our paved walkway.

Memorial Tree with Engraved Plaque

A tree will be planted on our property. A black 4" x 2" plaque will be affixed to a rock, which will be placed near the tree with the donor’s name or memorialized individual's name (up to 25 characters, spaces and punctuation included), as well as a short 35-character message message (spaces and punctuation included). The NSH Bird logo will also be featured.

A 6’ park bench will be placed in our gardens. Deck and Memorial Pergola Project
Project Information
Projected start date: Summer 2025
The deck and pergola will be built on the existing embankment, adjacent to the paved walkway on the northwest side of the building. The deck will be overlooking Chippewa Creek, but not blocking the views from our resident rooms!
Our fundraising goal for this project is $100,000!
